Should Republicans call Kamala Harris a “Ding-Dong” or Stick to the Issues?

The woman of word salads, who is now the Democrats’ great hope against Donald Trump, has never been confused with Einstein.  The Dems, if being honest or if drunk, would admit that.

But she’s all they’ve got. 

Note that Harris is a woman and it’s not nice for a man to call a woman a “ding-dong.”  And that’s what Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy has been doing.  I happened to see a most intriguing conversation on Neil Cavuto’s show on Fox News.  Cavuto took great exception when Kennedy used the ding-dong label and added that Harris is from the “loon wing of the Democratic Party.”

The question is not whether Kennedy is right. 

It’s whether it’s smart to call her such.  She’s woman, you know.  Some of the things they’ve called Donald Trump are far worse, but then, Donald Trump is only a man.

Hi, boys and girls!  It’s word salad time.

I admit that I didn’t know the term “word salad” until Harris made it famous.  Rambling compound-complex sentences involving the passage of time, where we are standing, and yellow school buses have become her trademark.

And if she were to be asked a thoughtful question about policy – she would be deer in the headlights.

Where Sen. Kennedy is going with this appears to be that she is simply not smart enough to be president of the United States.  He’s obviously right.  But she’s not stupid.  She’s merely dumb.

Harris is a dangerous mix of intellectual stupidity and political cunning.

The part of her that is smart concerns moving up the political ladder.  Whether it’s her relationship with powerful men like Willie Brown, or her well-known flexibility on the issues – Harris is always aligned with the zeitgeist of the Democratic base.  If she were in the House of Representatives, she would likely be a member of the Squad.  You read that right.  She’s another Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, or Rashida Tlaib.  She has no business in the Oval Office.

She was named Border Czar and Broadband Czar by Joe Biden.  By most accounts, she didn’t do much work on either.  Harris seems to enjoy her rise to the top of the political world, without doing anything to earn it.  She’s also known for being mean to her staff, causing great turmoil and turnover.  That is to say, nobody wants to work for her.

And, of course, the left-wing media enable her by pushing out favorable stories that are obviously stretching the truth.

While Republicans are calling Harris a ding-dong, what are Democrats calling Donald Trump?

They call Trump a “threat to Our Democracy.”  They call him a convicted felon, which, while true, is from a trial in New York that was a total aberration of justice.  Trump gives as good as he gets, and he goes after Harris with a vengeance.

Does Cavuto have a point?

You can like Neil Cavuto, or be ambivalent about him as I am, but in any case, he’d be more at home on CNN.  As Fox personalities go, he’s kind of an outlier, and that’s okay.  I like to see some disagreement sometimes, and I always try to bring a contrarian opinion to the Cardle & Woolley Show on Talk 1370 when one is called for.

But should a dumb woman like Harris be referred to as a ding-dong?  May I point out that Donald Trump is not even close to being a threat to democracy.  That’s Democrat Party lunacy and is a favorite talking point.  But Harris not a very intelligent woman, based on her speech and lack of accomplishments outside of climbing the political ladder.

As for her being part of the “loon wing” of the Democrat Party as Kennedy suggests, I can’t object. 

She’s very much in the mold of the recognized loons in the House, namely the Squad.  Truth is a defense for Sen. Kennedy, and yet, will women get mad at Kennedy and the Trump/Vance ticket for labeling her in a correct manner?  Or should they drop the personal attacks, as Cavuto suggests, and hit her only on the issues?

Some say that it’s just not nice to name-call when it’s a woman.  I agree to a point.  It would be nice if we could all just get along.  Democrats aren’t going to stop name-calling Trump and JD.  And as Larry Ward of Political Media said on the Cardle & Woolley Show:

This is an existential election. 

He’s right.  If Harris is elected, kiss your Constitution good bye and try to remember when freedom was in bloom.  Sen. Kennedy is right too.
