We want more people to read Stitches in Time, and post reviews on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Goodreads — or maybe even mention it in social media. Stitches in Time began on a crowded Dallas freeway in 1978 — and ended with the April 2, 2024 publication of the trilogy through Planet Logic Press.

I got the idea for the first story from the way cars move in drivetime traffic – one car-length at a time. What if time moved that way as well? From that, I wrote a short story, followed by two longer sequels. The first story appeared in Amazing Stories in 1980. This book marks the first appearance of the other two tales. It’s best to read them in order, since some of the characters cross over.
The stories center around a strange computer program that can manipulate time and connect our world to other realities.
In the first story, Tony Sutton, who is supposed to be dead, makes an appearance in the city and turns out to be a test case for Professor William Girard. The doctor has utilized his technology to bring his deceased son to our world from another timeline — but will the experiment succeed?
In the second story, David Brothers finds himself transported to an alternate world, and lands on death row for murder. Can he escape in time to save the planet from nuclear destruction? And can he restore the now-defunct United States of America?
In the third story, Earth has been rendered unlivable by a war with an alien race. On the way to the earth-like planet Karellus, two Space Force captains search for Girard’s long-lost technology. If they find it, can they search for a new Earth?
