After 500 Days on the Job, AG Barr has PROTECTED Deep State

Sessions and Barr No Different

Jeff Sessions was Attorney General for 637 days. Today marks William Barr’s 500th day on the job. Aside from Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from the job, there is little to no difference between either man. Sessions never indicted one Deep State criminal; Barr still has not.

As a result, in more than three years since Donald Trump’s inauguration, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has failed the American people. Crossfire Hurricane is the biggest political scandal in U.S. history.

Throughout Sessions’ tenure, Trump derided him on twitter. Trump supporters denounced Sessions roundly. However, Barr continues to get a pass from both the president and said supporters.

Why?

In short, Barr is far more politically savvy than Sessions. He knows how to tickle the ears of conservatives. This buys him time and cover from accountability.

For example, Barr testified before a Senate committee less than two months after his confirmation. In one exchange, Barr said he thought, “spying did occur” against the Trump campaign and later administration.

As a result of uttering those three words, Barr injected conservatives with all the hopium they needed. For Barr, he secured the good will of those wanting justice. They insisted he was the right man for the job.

However, they ignored the words Barr used immediately after that. Among other things, he stated his concern was whether the spying was “adequately predicated” and that he wasn’t suggesting it “wasn’t adequately predicated”. He also said he was not going to “launch(ing) an investigation of the FBI”. In addition, he referred to “rules” at the FBI (not laws) and “failures” instead of criminal behavior. He further declared his total confidence in disgraced FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Barr’s Terrible Scorecard

Any honest examination of Barr’s second tenure as Attorney General (his first was in the latter stages of the George H.W. Bush administration) reveals far more of what he hasn’t done than what he has done, unless you’re talking about what he’s done to protect the Deep State.

Consider:

• In March of 2019, the Special Counsel investigation into Russia collusion with the Trump campaign wrapped up, on Barr’s watch. The investigation – led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller – concluded no wrongdoing. More important to the investigators was running out the clock on two years of Trump’s first term. Despite egregious conflicts of interest among prosecutors, Barr did nothing in response.
• In August of 2019, the DOJ Inspector General (IG) released a report of his investigation of former FBI Director James Comey and how he mishandled classified information. The IG gave Barr the green light to prosecute Comey. Barr declined.
• Four months later, the IG released another report, with this one focusing on the fraudulent FISA applications filed by the Obama administration’s DOJ. While the IG found wrongdoing, Barr did not prosecute anyone.
• In November of 2017, Barr’s predecessor (Sessions) appointed U.S. Attorney John Huber to oversee an investigation into Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation. Huber ended his investigation on Barr’s watch, in January of 2020. Barr did not prosecute anyone.
• After the incredibly suspicious death of Jeffrey Epstein on August 10, 2019 the Medical Examiner ruled his death a suicide one week later. Soon thereafter, Barr stated he had no reason to doubt the suicide ruling.
• On July 10, 2016 Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer Seth Rich was murdered in the street at 4am in what authorities called an attempted robbery, even though none of his possessions were taken. Despite evidence that Rich is the person responsible for leaking DNC emails to Wikileaks, Barr’s DOJ has done nothing to move this case forward.
• Earlier this month, Barr’s DOJ issued an indictment against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Instead of getting to the bottom of what happened to Rich, Barr appears more interested in extraditing Assange to the U.S. for prosecution. Whatever Assange may be prosecuted for, pales in comparison to murder and the biggest political scandal in U.S. history.
• In January of 2019, one month before Barr’s confirmation, the attorney for former FBI general counsel James Baker revealed that the DOJ was conducting a criminal investigation into Baker. The investigation allegedly dealt with Baker’s leaks to media outlets. To date, Barr’s DOJ has announced no indictment of Baker. Meanwhile, Baker has since become the Deputy General Counsel for twitter at a time when the social media giant is censoring the tweets of Trump, less than six months before an election. By not prosecuting Baker, Barr is helping to undermine the president whose administration he serves.
• Last month, after the public learned that former Vice President Joe Biden was one of several individuals who requested the unmasking of Trump’s first National Security Advisor, Lt. Michael Flynn, Barr ran interference for not only Biden but also Barack Obama. On May 18th, Barr announced publicly that neither Biden nor Obama are being investigated. Since that announcement, the American people have learned that according to the notes of former FBI agent Peter Strzok, Biden recommended that Flynn be charged for violating the Logan Act. Barr not only must have known this at the time of his public exoneration of the former president and vice president but likely knows much more.
• In the spring of 2019, Barr announced he had selected U.S. Attorney John Durham to lead an investigation into what went on with the spying on Trump’s campaign and administration. This investigation has not only dragged on for well over a year but Durham has yet to interview former CIA Director John Brennan or former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. This smacks of a kabuki-style investigation.

The American people should also hold Barr accountable for the riots in the wake of the death of George Floyd and the crashing of the U.S. economy.

Barr’s Culpability in Riots and Economic Destruction

Since 2020 began, the media has focused primarily on three things:

1. Trump’s impeachment trial
2. The Chinese virus
3. Riots

In each case, the mainstream media – which is an arm of the Democrat Party – has not just pushed the Democrats’ far left-wing agenda. It has also ignored the scandal that Barr is supposed to be investigating.

The bombshell revelations about how Flynn was railroaded is a prime example. As we learn that Flynn was a victim of a spy campaign conducted by the Obama administration, the media ignores it. At best, it refers to it in terms of a conspiracy theory.

The media carries out its marching orders to insist people stay home, businesses shut down and people wear masks in public places.

When Floyd was murdered by a Minneapolis police officer on video, the media fanned the flames of the ensuing riots. It lit the match and kept pouring gasoline on the huge bonfire it created.

Then the riots died down. Not only did the media arms of the Democrats pivot back to the China virus but they doubled down, insisting that masks should no longer be an option.

Barr has done nothing about Crossfire Hurricane except protect the Deep State.

There is one thing that will get the media to cover the real scandal.

Indictments.

Barr could announce indictments today and the media would go into damage control. It would drop the virus from its headlines. Ditto the riots and tearing down of statues. Indictments would force the media to defend an indefensible position.

Instead, Bar and Durham slow-walk this investigation as the country burns, both literally and figuratively.

Consequently, Trump’s re-election hopes are increasingly in doubt.

Trump’s AG seems to be intentionally trying to undermine his chances.
