The Rise of Marxism in America is Dangerous and Evil

Excuse me if that sounds over the top. But there’s no Chicken-Little-Ism here. What is happening in New York, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. is not just a problem for establishment Democrats. It’s a problem for America and the world.
The Democrat Socialists of America comes out of a workers’ movement connected to the beliefs of Karl Marx.
This new movement goes beyond that, supporting the Palestinians, hating Israel, essentially hating America, and despising capitalism. Zohran Mamdani is the leader of the pack, and as mayor of New York, he’s endorsing the worst of the worst.
Case in point: Darializa Avila Chevalier who will likely soon represent New York’s District 13. She is the personification of the movement and if more people like her become mayors and city council members and congressmen, our country is in deep trouble.

This is where Marxism meets radical Islam. The two movements – both flourishing in America – have similar goals. Both hate America and would like to see Israel become Palestine. If you take the radical ideas of Mayor Mamdani, and pair them with the radical beliefs of DSA members (Marxists), you see an emerging threat to America, to Israel, and to Western European countries as well.

Mamdani has little use for establishment Democrats since they still cling to many of the basic concepts of our free enterprise system. Mamdani doesn’t like that system and has promised government-run grocery stores, rent control, and a special tax for wealthy people who have living quarters in New York that they use from time to time. He’s the new Bernie Sanders, only worse and far more dangerous. Three of his endorsed candidates won the New York primary and are probably headed for Congress. Mamdani, like the mayor of London, is Islamic. He accuses Israel of genocide and attacks AIPAC, which lobbies for U.S. protection for Israel from its Islamic neighbors that want to destroy it.

Hatred of Israel is a key component of the new movement.
Even some Republicans are hating on Israel to some extent and President Trump reportedly dressed down Prime Minister Netanyahu during a phone call. Trump wants Bibi to stop firing missiles into Lebanon because that’s damaging chances for the deal that the President wants with Iran. Apparently, Hezbollah’s firing missiles out of Lebanon into Israel is just dandy.

America had better be careful of too much Israel hatred. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East that is remotely akin to our own. If they destroy the “Little Satan,” they will come after the “Great Satan.” And why do they hate Israel? Because, like us, it’s a free society that practices capitalism – something Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels hated. The new Marxists hate that type of society, too. They will come after us next; in fact, that what Mamdani is all about. Someday he will run for President on a platform of changing everything. He will promise more taxes on billionaires and free stuff to the people. It will seem really good to gullible people, just as the cheese on a mousetrap is so inviting to the mouse.
What else would the Democrat Socialists do?
As Biden would say, you know the thing. Here’s a short list.
- Make the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico states, giving them four additional left-wing senators.
- Abolish the Electoral College, meaning New York, Illinois, and California would elect all future presidents and the Republican Party would be dead.
- Pack the Supreme Court so that a Marxist president could nominate far-left justices that would make political judgements, rather than considering rule of law.
- Abolish ICE and obliterate the border, meaning foreigners, including South American gangs and radical Islamists, could flood into the country.
- Establish confiscatory taxes to eliminate millionaires and billionaires who create corporations that innovate and hire people, for the purpose of redistributing wealth.
- Make all people equal under an equity system that would necessarily stifle innovation in technology and medicine for the purpose of equity – for all but the ruling class.
- Create a system whereby anyone would be allowed to vote regardless of citizenship, because citizenship would no longer matter.
- Defund the police and the U.S. military, disarming America, because there would be no further use for policemen and soldiers.
- Spend radical amounts of money on Climate Change because that’s a great way to redistribute wealth.
- Legalize all drugs because a “high” society is a compliant society.
- Abolish all religions (except Islam), because the new God will be Government.
- Establish a single-payer, government-run healthcare system in which we’d all have equal access to the world’s worst health care.
I think these things would be a good start for them, but there’s more they would do. It’s all bad.

There are more like her out there – maybe thousands more, and many of them are gearing up to run for office as this movement intensifies. Here’s what The Guardian wrote about her after her primary win:
Like fellow leftists, Avila Chevalier has campaigned on universal healthcare, stronger protections for renters, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and banning big Pacs from elections. She repeatedly accused Espaillat [her primary opponent], a Dominican immigrant who was formerly undocumented, a five-term congressman, and the chair of the congressional Hispanic caucus, of having achieved little for his district and being beholden to wealthy donors, including the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac), which in May reportedly poured $650,000 into a Super Pac opposing Avila Chevalier. She made “babies, not bombs” the signature pledge of her campaign.
How radical is Chevalier? Peter D’Abrosca wrote that she would like to eradicate Western Civilization.
The socialist … founded a group in college that called for the total destruction of the West. Darializa Avila Chevalier, 32, a Democratic nominee for U.S. Congress who made career out of “community organizing,” wrote in her biography for an opinion piece in independent news outlet The Electronic Intifada that she “helped launch the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign Columbia University Apartheid Divest.” … “We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization,” the group said in a now-deleted 2024 Instagram post.
That’s beyond socialism or even Marxism. That’s hatred of America, Israel, and all of Western Civilization. That’s everything we stand for that might, someday, be circling the drain. It’s 1939 again and evil is on the march. Do not take it for granted that this will go away. You have been warned.
